Paul Sims has been appointed Yorkshire correspondent at The Sun. Paul was previously the North East correspondent at the Daily Mail and starts his new role on 8 January.

Suzanne Lynch has been appointed European correspondent at The Irish Times. She was previously a financial journalist with the paper.

Eithne Donnellan has been appointed deputy news editor of The Irish Times. She was previously the assistant news editor at the title.

Kirsty Green is leaving her role as political editor at the Derby Telegraph. Kirsty is furthering her career in Muay Thai Boxing in Thailand.

The Guardian’s cover price is to rise by 20p from 12 January. The weekday and Saturday editions will cost £1.40 and £2.30 respectively.
