  • BBC Radio 1 has made a number of presenter announcements: Annie Mac has returned to the station after maternity leave to host on Fridays 7-9pm and Sundays 10pm-12am; B. Traits will present a new show on Monday nights from 2am-4am; and Monki will stay in her current role and permanently present Sunday nights 2am-4am.

  • Radio 5 live has announced new presenters: Adrian Chiles returns to the station to present Friday night Drive; and the presenter slot on Saturday mornings’ Fighting Talk will be shared between Christian O’Connell, Jonathan Pearce and Matt Johnson.

  • Annabel Brog has been promoted to the role of editorial project director at ELLE UK. She was previously editor at large for the title.

  • Andrew Castle is joining LBC 97.3 as the host of its weekend breakfast shows. Andrew will be on air from 7am to 10am every Saturday and Sunday morning.

  • Sarah Karmali is the new deputy editor at She was previously acting news editor at

  • Laurence Mozafari has announced via Twitter that he has been appointed digital editor at heatworld. He was previously digital content editor at ZOO.

  • IPC Southbank has launched the Home & Lifestyle Collection – a series of one-shot magazines aimed at the premium end of the market. The first in the series is 50+ Dream Rooms.

  • has relaunched its website with a new responsive design to allow for rapid expansion into new markets.

  • has relaunched with a new design and fully-responsive pages.

  • Leo Hickman has announced he is leaving his role as environment writer at the Guardian after 16 years with the paper. He has been appointed chief advisor, climate change at WWF-UK.

  • Observer Tech Monthly is a new supplement being launched by The Observer on 15 September. It will cover news and developments from the world of science and technology.
