Our free weekly newsletter features industry-related job postings, staff updates, Q&As with the fashion and beauty community, upcoming industry events and more, and is geared toward industry journalists and bloggers.

Q: Being a lawyer, how did you get into the beauty and fashion media industry?

A: I was a fashion lawyer working as in-house counsel at a fashion company. However, it wasn’t until I started my fashion blog that I became immersed in the LA fashion and beauty media industry.  I attend a lot of fashion, beauty, and red carpet events and have met a lot of great industry insiders at these events. I live in LA, so there’s pretty much something going every night of the week!

Q: What made you decide to blog full time?
A: I have a passion for fashion and I believe life’s too short to be dreaming about your passion. So,  I stepped out of the dream and turned it into reality!

Q: What keeps you blogging?
A: I love the process of writing. It’s so therapeutic and provides me with a creative outlet for self-expression. I also highly enjoy engaging with other fashion enthusiasts.

Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: Shopping (of course), travelling, working out, and spending quality time with friends and family!

Q: What is your favorite beauty item to splurge on?
A: A great moisturizer. My favorite is Creme de la Mer

Q: What is your favorite place to shop?
A: I love Melrose Avenue because the street spans blocks of boutiques that fit every price range and style inclination. It’s like a shopping mecca for people like myself-I can’t ever stick to just one style as I love and appreciate all things pretty and sparkly.

Q: What is the wackiest/funniest pitch you’ve received?
A: Sex toys. Do I need to go into details?

Q: Any tips for PR professionals who want to get in contact with you?
A: Be concise with your pitch and make sure your content aligns with my blog content. Oh, and pictures always help!
