Philadelphia Inquirer Promotes Two

The Philadelphia Inquirer has promoted Gabriel Escobar and Sandra Clark to managing editors. Both will manage the content for both the newspaper, and, the paper’s website.

Escobar was most recently the deputy managing editor since 2012. He also served as metro editor for the paper from 2007-2011. Prior to joining The Philadelphia Inquirer, he worked for The Dallas Morning News as an editorial writer from 2011-2012. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, Philadelphia Daily News, and The Hartford Current.

Clark has served as deputy managing editor for since 2013. She was also deputy managing editor of arts, features, entertainment and newsroom operations for the paper since 2011.  Clark joined The Philadelphia Inquirer in 2001.
