Jessica Coen has stepped down from her role as editor in chief at Jezebel, where she now serves as an editor at large. Emma Carmichael, who has been waiting in the wings since her hiring was announced in June, has officially taken over as editor in chief. Carmichael is no stranger to Gawker Media; she previously held managing editor positions at Gawker and Deadspin. Most recently, she was editor of The Hairpin.
