Brian Gallagher is retiring from USA Today, where he has served as editorial page editor since 2004, also serving in this role from 1999 to 2002. A true USA Today veteran, Gallagher joined the staff at its inception in 1982. Taking Gallager’s place leading the editorial board is Bill Sternberg, who previously served as deputy editorial page editor since 2004. Sternberg joined USA Today in 1997.
