Under new ownership, The Village Voice has welcomed back Will Bourne as editor and Michael Feingold as a twice-monthly arts columnist. Bourne briefly served as editor in 2013 and has since been executive editor for Audubon Magazine and editor-at-large for Inc. Magazine. Feingold had served as chief theater critic for 30 years before being laid off in 2013, and first contributed theater reviews for the paper in 1971.
Melissa Anderson, who has contributed to the paper since 2000, has been named senior film critic and her weekly column, SCREEN CAPTURED, will cover new releases. A regular contributor to Artforum and Bookforum, she was a member of the New York Film Festival selection committee and also served as film editor of Time Out New York. Join the writer’s paper for a weekly discussion of politics and arts on Twitter.
