Cision Blog regrets to inform readers that former CBS News Washington correspondent Eric Engberg has passed away. Having retired from the network in 2002, his 27 years of reporting included investigative work via his “Reality Check” series on federal government and covering presidential campaigns. Prior to moving to Washington, he worked in the New York and Dallas bureaus. He began his career in broadcasting with radio before joining CBS News in 1975.
