James Marcus Promoted at Harper’s Magazine

Harper’s Magazine has announced the promotion of James Marcus to editor of the magazine, starting June 1. Marcus has been the executive editor of the publication since 2013, and joined in 2010 as deputy editor. Prior to joining Harper’s Magazine, he was an editor at large at Columbia Journalism Review, and had served as a senior editor at Amazon.com and AOL’s Propeller.com.
