Deputy business editor Peter Lattman is leaving The New York Times on March 25. He will join Emerson Collective as managing director of media, where he will develop strategy around supporting and investing in journalism. Emerson Collective is an LLC dedicated to philanthropy and created by Steve Jobs’ widow Laurene Powell Jobs. Lattman served as the deputy business editor for The New York Times since October 2014, and before that also held roles as media editor and business reporter since joining the publication in 2010.
