Staff Updates for Bloomberg News Bureaus

Staff changes for the Washington and London bureaus of Bloomberg News include staff additions and updates.

In Washington, Margaret Talev has been named senior White House reporter for the Washington bureau. She previously served as a White House correspondent since June 2011. Michael Bender has been named senior reporter covering national politics from national political correspondent, a role he held since January 2011. Bloomberg Businessweek/Bloomberg Television writer Brendan Greeley is now covering the intersection of politics and economy, as well as campaign finance. Saleha Mohsin is joining the Washington bureau of Bloomberg News from the Oslo bureau, where she had been covering the Norwegian government. Nafeesa Syeed will join the Washington bureau later this month to cover the intersection of national security, foreign policy, and technology for the national security team. She had been based in Dubai serving as an economy and government reporter. Benjamin Bain is joining the Washington bureau to cover the Securities and Exchange Commission for the financial regulation team. Bain most recently was a reporter for Bloomberg News based in Mexico City. Chris Strohm will now cover the Department of Justin for the national security team. He previously covered cybersecurity. Elizabeth Dexheimer will move to the financial regulation team to cover Congressional committees regulating the financial industry. She previously was a finance reporter for Bloomberg News covering banks and credit cards since 2012. 


In London, Eric Pfanner has joined from Wall Street Journal. He will contribute to the News’ London bureau, overseeing global business coverage. His previously role was senior corporate correspondent for the Wall Street Journal’s Tokyo bureau since March 2014. Prior to that, Pfanner was a reporter for The New York Times.
