The Wall Street Journal welcomed two journalists to its San Francisco bureau last month. News editor Alec Davis and reporter Tomio Geron join the staff as part of the WSJ Pro venture capital team. WSJ Pro is a subscription service offering premium content services aimed at professionals in specialized industries, including venture capital, financial regulation, central banking and private equity. Davis was most recently an independent editorial consultant following a stint as vice president of media and content strategy for PR powerhouse Edelman. He was previously the managing editor for MarketWatch from 2001 to 2012. Geron joins the WSJ from the startup Exitround, where he served as director of content.
