The Sharon Herald Hires First Female Editor, Renee Carey

Renee Carey as been appointed editor of The Sharon Herald as of June 6. In her role, Carey will oversee news, sports and photography for both the print and online content. She replaces Jim Raykie who retired from the newspaper in April. She was previously the editor of the Goldsboro News-Argus since 2005. Carey is the first woman to hold the position of editor for The Sharon Herald in the 152-year history of the paper.
