Reporter Daisuke Wakabayashi has announced his departure from The Wall Street Journal.

He was covering Apple Inc. for the paper, based in the San Francisco bureau. He first joined the paper in 2008 as a correspondent in Tokyo covering Japanese tech companies, including Sony and Nintendo. Prior to joining the WSJ, Wakabayashi covered Microsoft for Reuters out of the Seattle bureau. Follow The Wall Street Journal tech team on Twitter.
