New York Times Names Deputy Publisher

A.G. Sulzberger is following in his family’s footsteps after being named deputy publisher of The New York Times, beginning Nov. 1. A member of his family has been in the publisher role since 1896, and this announcement marks a generational shift in the company. A.G. joined the Times in 2009 on the metro desk before serving as national correspondent and bureau chief in Kansas City. He has also held roles as senior editor of innovation and strategy as well as associate editor overseeing newsroom strategy. Follow along with this transition on Twitter.
