New Top Editor at The Weekly Standard

Bill Kristol is stepping down as editor of The Weekly Standard, but will remain with the magazine as editor at large. Kristol has been the editor of the publication since founding it in 1995. Senior writer Stephen Hayes will take on the role of editor in chief, and has previously served as a senior writer at National Journal. In addition, long time deputy editor Richard Starr has been promoted to editor. He had been the deputy editor since TWS’s founding, and was previously the assistant managing editor at Insight Magazine and assistant book review editor at The Washington Times.
