The masthead for the San Francisco Chronicle just got a face lift as the newspaper named three veteran journalists to top editor roles. The changes include:

  • Michael Gray was named managing editor of enterprise and will oversee the business and metro desks. He previously oversaw the Chronicle’s enterprise team.
  • Fernando Diaz was named managing editor of digital. He will join the paper from his current role as senior editor of the Center for Investigative Reporting. He previously was managing editor of Hoy Chicago and a news manager at Chicago Tribune Media Group.
  • Tim O’Rourke, current SFChronicle.com editor, is the paper’s new assistant managing editor. He’s been with the Chronicle since 2013.
