Sam Borden is joining ESPN as a global sports contributor. In his new role, Borden will serve as a staff writer and television contributor, where he will cover sports enterprise stories and investigative news on international sports, with a focus on major global football leagues and competitions. Borden joins the outlet from the New York Times, where he served as the paper’s first ever international sports correspondent beginning in 2011. Follow ESPN on Twitter.
