Ravi Nessman has taken on the role of South regional news director at the Associated Press. The new position oversees journalism and news operations for a 13-state region. Nessman is based in Atlanta and has been serving as AP’s deputy South editor as well as interim editor for the South since 2014. He first joined AP in 1994 as a reporter and embarked across the world to cover international stories. Follow the Associated Press on Twitter.
