The Los Angeles Times has hired Jackie Calmes as White House editor; she will be based in the paper’s Washington, D.C. bureau. Calmes had previously been a D.C.-based correspondent and White House reporter for the New York Times, and prior to that spent sixteen years at The Wall Street Journal, where she held numerous roles in their D.C. bureau.
