The Washington Times recently welcomed new staffers and shuffled others, including:

  • Dan Boylan, who joined as a national security correspondent. He previously had served as a general assembly reporter for the News & Observer since 2016.
  • Cheryl Chumley is now the online opinion editor. She was previously the digital news editor for the publication. Prior to joining The Washington Times, Chumley was the online editor for Tea Party Review Magazine and a staff writer for Media General.
  • Laura Kelly has joined as health and general assignment reporter. She previously held positions as editor and sub-editor for The Jerusalem Post from 2013 to 2016.
