Two staff members will join The New York Times‘ Bangkok bureau: Hannah Beech and Ben C. Solomon. Beech will join The New York Times as Bangkok bureau chief overseeing Southeast Asia coverage in August. Currently, she serves as East Asia and China bureau chief for TIME’s Shanghai bureau. Solomon also will move to the Bangkok bureau, where he will serve as The Times’ first-ever visual-first correspondent. He is currently an international video journalist for The New York Times online.
