The Observer has relieved the following entertainment desk staff members from their duties, effective May 30.
- Longtime film critic Rex Reed, who has been reviewing movies for the paper for more than two decades. Reed previously wrote for Vogue, GQ, The New York Times, the Daily News and the New York Post.
- Arts and culture writer Dana Schwartz, who has been with the paper since May 2016. Prior to that she had brief stints at The New Yorker and mental floss.
So, I'm no longer working at the Observer.
