CisionScoop: Wine Enthusiast has found a new contributing travel editor in Lauren Mowery. Mowery founded her own wine travel blog, Chasing the Vine, in 2011, and has since had her writing featured by USA Today, Forbes, and Village Voice.
CisionScoop: Jorgelina de Rosario joined Bloomberg News‘ Buenos Aires bureau as the outlet’s new Spanish editor. She’ll be covering news in Argentina and Latin America as a whole, both in English and in Spanish. She comes from Infobae, where she served as economics editor for the past five years.
Joining the growing trend of marijuana reporting and journalism, The Associated Press has created a full team focused on covering the legalization and regulation of marijuana. Comprised of existing reporters across the country, the team is as follows:
After nearly two decades with Univision Communications, Jessica Rodriguez has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of the network. She will oversee programming, production, and marketing for Univision, one of the largest Spanish-speaking media companies in the United States. Rodriguez has been with the network since 2000.
At Pensions & Investments, a couple of reporters are taking on new beats:
Lewis D’Vorkin, former editor in chief at the Los Angeles Times, has transferred to parent company tronc, where he will serve as chief content officer. Taking over for D’Vorkin is Jim Kirk, who briefly served as interim EIC before D’Vorkin in November of last year. Kirk left the LA Times to serve as interim EIC for the New York Daily News after its acquisition by tronc. He is now at the LA Times to stay, overseeing operations as editor in chief.
ABC and 20th Century Fox veteran Lynn Barrie has joined Disney-owned Freeform as its new senior vice president of original programming and development. She will oversee development of scripted series for both drama and comedy for the channel.
Long time reporter and anchor Jon Camp is no longer in investigative journalism. For the past two years, he has served as investigative managing editor for WTVD, the ABC affiliate in Durham, NC. Now, he has founded CampSight Strategies, a firm dedicated to covering the political, business, and nonprofit sectors in North Carolina.
After eight years with The Progressive Farmer, Jim Patrico has retired as senior editor. In his farewell article, Patrico reminisced about the leaps and bounds the agriculture industry has made with new technology, and his passion for covering its development. The DTN/Progressive Farmer team wishes his the best of luck in his retirement.
