CisionScoop: After more than a decade with ABC’s flagship station in New York, Jamie Nguyen has joined NBC News as a coordinating producer. She covers national consumer investigations for Rossen Reports. Before joining WABC-TV, Nguyen was a newscast producer for KTRK-TV in Houston.
CisionScoop: Alex Zalben has joined Decider as managing editor after two years in the same role at TV.com and TVGuide.com. Before that, he was movies editor at MTV News. Decider is an entertainment website created to help readers discover the best content on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and other streaming platforms.
Longtime ESPN executive Craig Bengtson is now vice president of programming at CNBC, overseeing production of Business Day programs. Most recently, he was vice president and managing editor of news and reporting at ESPN, and previously was vice president of SportsCenter.
Jodi Rudoren has been named associate managing editor at The New York Times. Most recently, she was editorial director of NYT Global, and has worked for the paper in various roles including deputy international editor, Jerusalem bureau chief, education editor and correspondent.
Emily Dougherty has been named editor in chief of NewBeauty, starting on Feb 26. She will oversee the editorial, digital and social teams. Dougherty was most recently beauty and fitness director of ELLE, and previously worked at Nylon, Harper’s Bazaar and Mademoiselle.
Eleftherios Kardamakis is now creative director for Hearst Design Group, which includes House Beautiful, ELLE Decor, Veranda and Metropolitan Home. Also at Hearst Design Group, market editor Carisha Swanson was promoted to senior market editor and section editor, focusing on kitchen, bath, building and smart home technologies.
Associated Press Portland correspondent Gillian Flaccus is now reporting on marijuana policy as part of the AP’s brand new beat team. She also continues to cover regional news stories. Flaccus joined the news service in 2000, and previously reported for McClatchy Newspapers.
