CisionScoop: Beauty and entertainment writer Priscilla Rodriguez has been named entertainment editor at Her Campus. She will continue writing for her blog, Pop. Culture. Blush., along with her new role. Rodriguez’s writing has been featured in Glamour, InStyle, J-14, and Latina Magazine.
CisionScoop: CRN has annouced that Dylan Martin will be joining the ranks as an associate editor by the end of this month. Martin will be leaving Boston Inno, where he is currently serving as a staff writer. At CRN, he will be covering intel and IoT topics.
After nearly 14 years as The New York Times‘ photo editor, Michele McNally has announced her retirement. During her tenure, she has won Pullitzers, Polks, Emmys, OPCs, duPonts, and a multitude of other awards for photography.
Seasoned sports reporter Tommy Tran will be joining CBS Sports Digital next week as an anchor and host. He will be relocating from California to Fort Lauderdale to fill his new role. For the past eight years, Tran has served as sports director for ABC30 in Fresno, California.
After her eight-month internship at The Washington Post, Rachel Siegel will be joining the paper’s finance desk as a general assignment reporter. Siegel is a recent graduate of Yale University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in American History.
Chicago Tribune columnist Robert Reed has announced his departure from the newspaper. After eighteen months as its lead business columnist, Reed is stepping down on March 2. A seasoned writer, Reed’s work has previously been featured in Businessweek, Bloomberg News, Chicago Magazine, and Crain’s Chicago.
Dan Peres, former editor in chief of Details magazine, has been picked as the new editorial director for Derek Jeter’s media venture, The Players’ Tribune. Peres helmed the Condé Nast magazine for 15 years until it was shuttered in 2015. For a time after, he served as president of marketing and branding firm Seven Across. Now, he will manage editorial content for the athlete-centered news website.
Bank Director magazine has named Jake Lowary as managing editor. For over a decade, Lowry has reported on veterans and military issues in the state of Tennessee, most recently with The Tennessean in Nashville. h/t Talking Biz News
Christa Delcamp has joined WBTS, the NBC affiliate in Boston, as morning anchor. Previously, she spent more than a decade as anchor for WHDH, the Boston affiliate for The CW.
After nearly three years with the digital team from the Los Angeles Times, Brian De Los Santos has left the paper to join the Palm Springs daily newspaper, The Desert Sun. De Los Santos started as the Sun’s new digital strategist om Feb. 26. In addition to the LA Times, he has previously worked with Southern California Public radio station KPCC, as well as KCRW and NPR.
