CisionScoop: POLITICO States has said goodbye to reporter Conor Skelding, who will join Reorg Research as a reporter March 26. Skelding covered the real estate beat and the New York City Council at POLITICO States. He graduated from Columbia University in 2014 with a B.A. in English.
CisionScoop: Senior editor Julie Shapiro has left TIME to join NBC Digital as an enterprise editor. She had worked at TIME since 2015, and prior to that served as a reporter for DNAinfo in New York.
Amid Tronc’s plans to reorganize its properties coverage, the Chicago Tribune has said goodbye to the following staff:
Keziah Weir has joined Vanity Fair as an associate editor. She recently departed ELLE, where she had worked since 2013 holding various positions, including editorial assistant to associate editor.
Over at the Indianapolis Star, legal affairs reporter Fatima Hussein is preparing to make the move to Bloomberg BNA. She will join the site in April and will cover workplace safety issues. Prior to working at the Star, Hussein worked for the Cincinnati Enquirer and the Daytona Beach News-Journal. h/t Talking Biz News
Jessica Roy has joined ELLE Online as deputy editor. She comes from The Cut, where she spent the last two years as news editor. Prior to that she reported for New York Magazine Daily Intelligencer, TIME Online, and The New York Observer. She started her career at The New York Times in 2010 as a staff editor.
CNN’s affiliate news service, CNN Newsource welcomes Camila Bernal as their newest reporter. She will cover a wide range of topics and will deliver English and Spanish language reports. Bernal was most recently a reporter for recently departed from KRON-TV in San Francisco.
After 47 years, Joann Lublin is retiring from The Wall Street Journal. She started writing for the WSJ in 1971 and has filled various different roles including staff reporter, London news editor, London deputy bureau chief, and most recently corporate management news editor.
KMLE-FM, the country radio station based in Phoenix, has welcomed a new morning host, Niko Petrou. He was most recently with iHeartMedia as an on-air personality, and prior to that served at CBS Radio as assistant program director.
Adam Atchison is the newest morning news anchor for KKTV-TV, the CBS affiliate in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He recently relocated from Albuquerque, New Mexico where he was a morning anchor for KQRE-TV. Prior to that, he reported for KOAA-TV and KTVB-TV.
