CisionScoop: Former Entertainment Weekly senior editor, Breanne L. Heldman, left the magazine for a move to People where she is senior TV editor. Heldman has a history in entertainment journalism. Before EW, she was with Yahoo! Entertainment as New York bureau chief, MTV as a senior editor and E! as senior news writer. 

CisionScoop: PRI/Public Radio International said goodbye to Sophie Chou, a data journalist with the network. She left for a role as a research consultant for the MIT Med Lab. Chou has a background in research and computer science, with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, and a Master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

CisionScoop: Samuel Steinberger joined WealthManagement.com as a reporter covering financial technology. He came from Financial Planning where he was a business reporter.

The Wall Street Journal's Houston bureau hired Rebecca Elliott to cover energy as a reporter. Elliot left the Houston Chronicle where she covered general assignments and City Hall. h/t Talking Biz News

Gothamist relaunched under WNYC after a shutdown last fall. The public radio station acquired the blog in February from its former owner, Joe Rickets. Gothamist staff has been posting stories since early April. Another blog that is making a comeback, also owned by Rickets previously, is the DCist. This blog relaunched with the help of WAMU. 

Jenny Leonard is joining Bloomberg in May as a reporter covering trade. Currently, she is an associate editor for Inside U.S. Trade, where she covers international trade policy, including negotiations for trade agreements, policy coming out of Capitol Hill, and updates from the World Trade Organization. h/t Talking Biz News

Harper's Magazine consumer general interests editor, James Marcus, was laid off recently. Marcus joined the magazine in 2010, where he started as a deputy editor. He also held the position of executive editor during his time there. 

Axios will bring on current Mashable senior science editor, Andrew Freedman, as science editor starting May 9. Prior to joining Mashable, Freeman was a blogger and managing editor at Climate Central, Inc., as well as a climate and weather blogger for the Washington Post.

Brody Logan, sports anchor for FOX Washington D.C. affiliate station WTTG-TV, moved to Denver, Colorado, NBC affiliate station KUSA-TV for a sports director position. Before WTTG, Logan was a correspondent with ESPN's UNITE. 

NBC Elmira, New York affiliate WETM-TV reporter Gayle Ong left the station. She moved to a MyNetworkTV affiliated station, KRON-TV, located in San Francisco, where she is a video journalist. In the past, Ong has held positions at CBS Television Network as an associate producer for promos, as well as Fox News Channel as a production assistant. 

Real Deal South Florida gained a new reporter in Keith Larsen. He joined from the South Florida Business Journal, where he was also a Reporter covering banking, finance and wealth. Prior to that, he was a reporter for Greenbiz.com. h/t Talking Biz News
