CisionScoop: Bill Tarrant was named west coast editor in charge for the Reuters Los Angeles bureau. Tarrant comes into this position after serving as Reuters’s Asia enterprise editor for eight years. 

CisionScoop: The San Antonio Express-News says goodbye to immigration and border affairs reporter Jason Buch after ten years with the paper. Prior to that, he was with the Laredo Morning Times as a criminal courts reporter.

Jeneen Interlandi joined the editorial board & magazine for The New York Times and will write about health, science and education. In the past, Interlandi has written for Consumer Reports, Newsweek and Popular Science.

Politico campaigns reporter Kevin Robillard left the magazine to join HuffPost‘s Washington bureau as its senior political reporter. Robillard was with Politico for nearly ten years, and was a reporter for TBD.com before that.

Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that Brett Norman has passed away. Norman was a Politico healthcare policy reporter for over five years. He started his career at the Pensacola News Journal as a reporter and went on to work as an associate editor for Part B News, as well as a science writer for The Rockefeller University Science

Cape Coral, Florida’s Fox affiliate WFTX-TV will gain a new news director soon in Sarah Zak. Zak is currently at Cincinnati, Ohio’s ABC affilicate WCPO-TV, where she serves as assistant news director.

NBC’s Rockford, Illinois affiliate WREX-TV morning news reporter and anchor Austin Love has moved stations. Love is now a reporter at the NBC affiliate station WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Post and Courier editorial and opinion page editor Charles Rowe retired from his position after more than a decade. Replacing him is Rick Nelson, who has been with the paper since 1984. During his tenure there, Nelson has served as the assistant managing editor for news, as well as the managing editor.

Daniel Roberts was named the host of the new Yahoo Finance daily 1-minute business series, Business + Coffee. Topics covered range from sports business, media deals, mergers and more. Roberts has been with Yahoo Finance since 2016, where he started as a senior writer. Prior to that, he was with Fortune for five years as a reporter. h/t Talking Biz News

The St. Louis Business Journal will say goodbye to publisher Patricia Miller on May 15. Miller is retiring after more than thirty years with the paper, most of which was spent as an editor.

Matthew Pruznick, the former senior editor for Systems Contractor News & Residential Systems, is now content director for AV Technology. He is replacing Margot Douaihy, who will become an Editor at Large.
