CisionScoop: Owen Boss, former executive city editor for the Boston Herald, has joined the staff at WHDH-TV Online in Boston. After four years with the Herald, Boss is now the executive digital news producer for the independent television station. He has also previously reported and edited for the now defunct Patch sites.

CisionScoop: Taking over for Owen Boss as executive city editor for the Boston Herald is Bruce Castleberry. Castleberry joined the Herald in 2013, and most recently served as deputy managing editor of production for the newspaper.

Ed O’Keefe will begin his new role at CBS Television Network April 15 as a D.C.-based political correspondent. For the past 13 years, O’Keefe has worked with The Washington Post as a blogger, reporter, and a producer.

John Wagner  has begun his duties as founding anchor of the new national politics breaking news team at The Washington Post. Wagner has been with WaPo since 2004, and now leads a team dedicated to covering the White House, Congress, and government campaigns.

Newspaper conglomerate McClatchy has named its final two regional editors, rounding out the restructuring of its newsrooms to focus on delivering more regional and localized news:

  • Mike Fannin, longtime editor of the Kansas City Star, will now serve as the Midwest regional editor, continuing to oversee The Star as well as The Witchita Eagle in Kansas, the Belleville News-Democrat in Illinois, and the Star-Telegram in Fort Worth, Texas.
  • Lauren Gustus will now serve as regional editor for the Western region, overseeing McClatchy’s four Washington State newsrooms in addition to its five California-based papers and The Idaho Statesman in Boise.

SiriusXM Radio has named Olivier Knox as its new chief Washington correspondent, covering top news stories for all of the station’s political channels starting on April 16. For the past six years, Knox has been with Yahoo! News as a White House correspondent.

John Barron, former editor and general manager of the Chicago Tribune Content Agency, has departed from the news service after parent company Tronc eliminated his role altogether. Prior to CTCA, Barron spent almost two decades at the Chicago Sun-Times in a variety of editorial and non-editorial roles.

Business North Carolina gained a new assistant editor, Taylor Wanbaugh. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Wanbaugh most recently served as a staff writer for the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Ian Rubin is now the news director for WOIO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. Previously, Rubin served in the same role at WNEM, a CBS Michigan affiliate, for nearly 15 years.
