CisionScoop: The Daily Beast has brought on Lachlan Cartwright as senior reporter covering power, crime, celebrity and justice. He was previously the executive editor for Radar Online  for four years, and prior to that reported for the New York Daily News, New York Post, and The Sun. 

CisionScoop: Current Reuters editor-in-charge, Ben Klayman, will become the Detroit bureau chief on July 2. Klayman was promoted after overseeing U.S. general  news in the Midwest for the last three years. He joined Reuters in 1998 as auto correspondent, and has since covered telecommunications and sports business, among other beats.  

The New York Times has yet another addition to its Culture desk: Eleanor Stanford is now a senior staff editor. For the past two years, she has been a staff editor in Culture on the Watching project. Stanford joined NYT in 2014 as news assistant. 

Cara Lombardo has switched roles at The Wall Street Journal, and is now a reporter covering activist investors. She previously spent a year as a reporter at WSJ's real-time news desk. Prior to that, she reported on legislative relief for the Associated Press out of Madison, Wisconsin. h/t Talking Biz News

MarketWatch has hired Sarah Toy as media reporter, and will focus on the intersection of media, entertainment, and money. She comes from the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, where she served as Statehouse correspondent for a year. Toy was previously in the medical field. 

Chicago's FOX-affiliated WFLD-TV has promoted Shae Peppler to full time sports anchor and reporter. She previously worked for Morning Does on the CW network, Campus Insiders and the Big Ten Network.

Kentucky's top daily, the Courier Journal, has bid farewell to two staffers: Longtime health columnist, Bryant Stamford, has penned his final installment of the Body Shop column, after 42 years with the paper.  In addition,  publisher Wes Jackson is leaving the paper on July 2. He has been with Gannett and the Journal since 2011. 

Kaley O'Kelley is returning to the Phoenix market and ABC-owned KNXV-TV as the morning anchor. She was previously an evening anchor at KTVT-TV in Dallas, and worked at KNXV in 2003. She also worked for KTVK-TV in Phoenix between 2009 and 2015.  

Popular traffic anchor, Darby Douglas, has parted ways with Houston's CBS affiliate KHOU-TV. Douglas has been with the station since 2014, and prior to that spent eight years as a traffic anchor for MetroNetworks Inc. He also worked for  KFMK-TV as morning show producer for five years.
