CisionScoop: Jezebel has promoted Megan Reynolds to managing editor. She joined the blog in 2017 as a staff writer, and prior to that worked for The Frisky as associate editor, and Refinery29 as staff writer. Reynolds is a graduate of Emerson College with a degree in writing, literature and publishing.
David Ingram has joined NBC News Digital in New York as tech reporter, effective July 9. He comes from Reuters, where he has been a San Francisco-based correspondent reporting on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and the business of social media. He previously covered white-collar crime and legal affairs for Reuters in New York and Washington.
The Associated Press has added Hannah Fingerhut as reporter covering polling and surveys. She is based in Washington, D.C.and began her duties July 5. She previously spent three years at Pew Research Center as a research analyst, politics.
Maya Salam has switched roles at The New York Times and is now on the new Gender team as staff editor; her first day was July 16. She joined NYT in 2015 as a senior staff editor for the Express digital team, which covers breaking news for a digital audience. Prior to that, she spent four years at Yahoo!.
NBC Television Network has added Josh Lederman as national political reporter on the national security and politics investigative team, based in Washington. He was previously covering the State Department, foreign policy and national security for the Associated Press in Washington. Prior to that, Lederman spent a year at The Hill as campaign reporter.
Zach Montellaro has been promoted to campaigns reporter and POLITICO Morning Score author at POLITICO. He covers campaigns and elections, and related topics such as specific candidates, campaign technologies and election security. Montellaro has been with the magazine since 2016, when he joined the staff as web producer.
SportsNet Central -- NBC Sports Washington and anchor Chick Hernandez have parted ways, after the network did not renew his contract. He joined the NBC Sports in 2001, hosting the first news show aired by Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic during its April 2001 launch. Prior to that, he worked for Fox SportsNet where he covered the NFC Title Game and Super Bowl XXXV. He is the recipient of the 2002 Capital Region Emmy Award for Best Sports Anchor, and has also won several Emmys for his work with WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C., where he served as a sports anchor.
Tom Weber has exited MPR -- Minnesota Public Radio Network. He has been with the organization for 10 years, most recently as a host of MPR News with Tom Weber and The Daily Circuit. Prior to that, he was with KWMU in St. Louis.
Poynter. has named veteran journalist and college journalism director Barbara Allen managing editor, effective July 16. Allen was most recently the director of student media at Oklahoma State University, and before that she spent 12 years as a writer and editor at Tulsa World covering police, courts and features.
Stacey Wilson Hunt has left New York magazine to pursue a freelancing career, and will focus on entertainment, Hollywood, celebrities, television, movies, and entertainment awards. She spent the last three years as the L.A.-based Hollywood editor for New York, and its entertainment site, Vulture.com.
