Media Moves at GMA Day & WSJ. Magazine, New Correspondent at Reuters

Mike Spector will join Reuters Oct. 1 as U.S. corporate crisis correspondent. He most recently served as a reporter at The Wall Street Journal since 2006, and focused on safety, regulation, litigation and government investigations. Throughout the years at WSJ, he also covered deals, private equity and bankruptcies. 

ABC's Good Morning America will premier its third hour show GMA Day on Sept. 10. ABC has expanded its morning programming after canceling The Chew in May. With the upcoming GMA Day debut come the following staff updates:

  • Michael Strahan will join the show as co-host He will remain as anchor for Good Morning America. 
  • Sara Haines will exit ABC's The View to join Strahan as co-cost. She has been with ABC since 2013.
  • Kevin Wildes has been named executive producer of the show. He comes from ESPN The Jump, where he spent the last two years as senior coordinating produce.  

Fortune magazine has named Grace Donnelly  associate editor covering the food and beverage industry. She has been with the magazine since 2016, when she joined the staff as a data intern, and most recently served as a data reporter. She has also worked as a writer for Fast Copy News Service. 

James Bandler is set to join ProPublica as a senior reporter covering business, effective Sept. 4. He most recently served as editor at large at Fortune, and before that worked as a reporter at The Wall Street Journal. He began his journalism career at the Rutland Herald and Barre-Montpelier Times Argus.

Alexandra Svokos has been appointed news editor at Bustle. She was most recently a senior news editor at Elite Daily. Before that, she freelanced for The Daily Beast, Glamour, and Refinery 29, among others. Bustle focuses on women's interest stories, and offers news and commentary on the latest in fashion, entertainment, beauty and lifestyle.

WSJ. Magazine has brought on Sarah Ball as digital director, effective Aug. 6. She oversees all digital content at WSJ. Magazine, the Journal’s monthly luxury lifestyle magazine. Ball most recently served as the editorial director of GQ magazine, where she was initially hired as a senior editor in 2014.

Nathan Graham will move to WDZH-FM in Detroit as program director. He joins the staff Sept 4.  Graham comes from WXSS-FM in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he served as assistant program director and music director. Prior to that, he hosted nights at KSPW-FM in Springfield, Missouri, and KMXV-FM in Kansas City. 

After almost a year at  WTHT-FM and WBYA-FM in Portland, Maine, JC Coffey has departed the stations. He joined the staff in September 2017 as program director and PM on-air personality. Before that, he worked at Townsquare Media as operations manager.
