Katharine Seelye will head the Obituaries section of The New York Times, succeeding Margalit Fox who left in July. Seelye has been with the NYT since 1994, when she joined the Washington bureau as a reporter. Since then, she has covered multiple presidential elections, the Boston Marathon bombing, and most recently served as the New England bureau chief.
CNN International has parted ways with Isha Sesay, who has exited her position as anchor of CNN Newsroom and after 13 years with the network. She joined CNN in 2005 as a news anchor. Prior to that, she was a presented for Sky Sports News Good Morning Sports Fan show.
Candice Norwood has left Politico and joined Governing magazine as a web producer and writer. Norwood spent a year at Politico Pro as a web producer, and prior to that worked for Bloomberg as weekend White House reporter. Before that she was a politics fellow at The Atlantic.
WSCR-AM sports radio in Chicago has welcomed David Haugh as AM drive time on-air personality on the the Mully & Haugh show morning show, succeeding Brian Hanley. Haugh is also a columnist at the Chicago Tribune writing the In the Wake of the New column, and previously co-hosted middays with David Kaplan on The Game 87.7 FM.
Scott Dwyer has been hired as program director for KFCO-FM and KJHM-FM in Denver. He previously spent two years as program director at KFAT-FM in Anchorage, Alaska, and before that worked in the same capacity for KKUU-FM in Palm Springs, California.
WVIT-TV, the NBC affiliated station in New Britain, Connecticut, has launched CT Live!, a 30-minute lifestyle and entertainment show airing weekdays at 11:30 a.m. The show includes must-see destinations, best local eats, entertainment, real estate, fashion, beauty and living a healthy lifestyle. Jimmy Marlow V and Taylor Kinzler have been brought on as co-hosts. Marlow V comes to Connecticut from the ABC station in Albany, New York where he was a morning feature reporter. Kinzler was previously an anchor at WABI in Bangor, Maine.
Well-known Southern gospel on-air personality, Rodney Baucom, has joined Singing News Radio Network as host. The move comes as the network expands its weekly Top 10 Countdown Show to a Top 20 Countdown. Baucom replaces Jeff Steele, and previously served as network director of The Life FM Radio Network.
WCPO-TV, the ABC-affiliated station in Cincinnati, Ohio, has abruptly ended its relationship with Katherine Nero. She was the anchor of Good Morning Tri-State, and has been with the station since 1998. Prior to that, she worked for WPTY-TV in Memphis, Tennessee.
