The Atlantic has hired Yara Bayoumy as a senior editor leading national security coverage. She comes from Reuters, where she has worked as a foreign correspondent—reporting extensively from the Middle East and Africa—and national security editor. She has been with Reuters since 2004.
Nat Ives is the new editor of CMO Today at The Wall Street Journal. He was previously the executive editor for Advertising Age for three years, and had been with the outlet since 2005. Before that, he worked for The New York Times, Institutional Investor and Editor & Publisher.
Yahoo! Finance has tapped Pamela Granda is an associate producer. She comes from Fox Business Network, where she served as a NYSE producer, and before that spent two years at MSNBC as an associate producer, and production assistant before that.
Longtime Chicago Tribune food critic and writer, Bill Daley, has retired from the paper after 15 years with the Tribune and more than 35 years in journalism. His last day was Oct. 12. He joined the Chicago daily in 2003 as food and features writer from the San Francisco Chronicle, where he was the restaurant reviewer for a year. He began his career in 1981 at the Shore Line Newspapers.
Crain's Chicago Business has welcomed back Jim Kirk, this time as executive editor and publisher. He returns to Chicago after a brief stint as editor in chief for the Los Angeles Times and interim editor in chief for the New York Daily News. Kirk is a longtime Chicago newsman, and served as the editor in chief and publisher for the Chicago Sun-Times between 2012 and 2017. Before that, he was the chief of editorial operations at Crain's Chicago Business.
CBS has announced that they have added Bianna Golodryga to its morning host roster at CBS This Morning. Additionally, she serves as a contributor to CNN across various CNN programs and has been with the network since 2017. She has also worked for Yahoo! News, ABC's Good Morning America and CNBC.
Richard Felon has been promoted to correspondent at Business Insider covering executive leadership and sustainability. He was previously a senior reporter for the outlet for two years, and joined the staff in 2014 as a reporter after a six-month internship covering the advertising industry and business strategy.
ABC-owned KXTV-TV in Sacramento, California has hired Carlos Herrera as a reporter. He comes from KGUN-TV in Tuscon, Arizona, and before that reported for NBC's KMIR-TV in Palm Springs, California.
