Lulu Chiang has joined Yahoo! Finance as senior executive producer. She comes from CBS/CBSN, where she spent six years, most recently as senior producer/booker. Before that, she worked for CNBC and NBC Universal as senior filed producer at both media outlets.
CNN Prime Time host Chris Cuomo has joined SiriusXM as a host on "Let's Get After It", airing weekdays from 12 to 2 p.m. The show's debut was on Sept. 24 and provides spirited conversations with listeners and newsmakers, as well as highlights of Cuomo's passions in everyday life, from family to fitness to fishing. Cuomo will continue his duties at CNN, and has been with the cable news network since 2013. Before that, he spent several years at ABC News.
IndieWire, the news, information and networking site for independent-minded filmmakers, the industry and moviegoers, has hired several new staff and promoted one:
Oliver "Ollie" Chandhok, the current publisher of the Triad Business Journal, will join the Dallas Business Journal as market president and publisher on Nov. 1. He has been with the American Business Journals since 2011, and joined the company as an advertising sales executive for the Charlotte Business Journal.
After 33 years in broadcast and 24 years at WTXF-TV, the FOX station in Philadelphia, reporter Dave Schratwieser has retired from the business. He was the crime reporter at the station, and delivered reports during the 10 p.m. newscasts. Before WTXF he worked for NBC's WCAU-TV in Philadelphia for ten years.
E.W. Scripps-owned KTNV-TV in Las Vegas, Nevada will welcome George Kiriyama as managing editor, effective Oct. 29. He comes from KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara, California, where he spent the last four years as managing editor. Before that, he was a general assignment reporter for KNTV-TV.
American Banker has hired Will Hernandez as tech reporter. He was previously the editor of MobilePaymentsToday.com for four years, and before that worked for PaymentsSource.com as a debit card reporter and associate editor.
Nickolaus Hines has started as the food and drink editor at Matador Network, where he will help tell stories about travel, food, beverages, and cannabis. Prior to that, he was a staff writer at Supercall, and before that he served as the associate editor at VinePair.
