Media Moves at The Hollywood Reporter & CBS Evening News, Two Editors Join Quartz

Rebecca Keegan will join The Hollywood Reporter as senior editor covering the film industry; she starts Nov. 5. Keegan comes from Vanity Fair, where she has been the Hollywood correspondent since 2016. Before that, she worked for the Los Angeles Times and the Harvard Business Review. 

CBS Evening News has promoted Brian Gottlieb as supervising producer based in Washington. He was previously a White House producer and has been with CBS since 2017. Prior to that, he worked for BBC for a decade, most recently as White House senior producer. 

Fotios Tsarouhis has joined S&P Global Market Intelligence as senior reporter, Power Finance, covering energy, power and utilities, project finance, infrastructure, capital markets, investment banking, private equity, and regulation. He comes from GlobalCapital, where he spent the last several months as senior reporter. Prior to that he worked for Euromoney Institutional Investor. 

Quartz has expanded its staff by hiring two new editors:

  • Alexandra Ossola is the new deputy special projects editor. She was most recently the managing editor and former features editor at Futurism, where she ran projects on quantum computing and planetary exploration. Before that, she worked as a freelance writer and her work has appeared in Popular Science, The Atlantic, and the Guardian among others. 
  • Holly Ojalvo joins Quartz as Talent Lab editor. She was most recently the director of content operations at Youth Radio, and senior director of digital content at USA Today, editing its college vertical. 

Tiana Lowe is the new commentary writer at the Washington Examiner. She is the founding editor of USC Economic Review and also interned for the National Review. Relaunched as a weekly in 2013, the Washington Examiner covers news about Washington, D.C. and its suburbs in Virginia and Maryland. 

CBS-owned KTVT-TV in Fort Worth, Texas, has hired Alanna Autler as an investigative reporter. She comes from WSMV-TV in Nashville, Tennessee, where she also worked as an investigative reporter. She previously reported for WOWK-TV in Huntington, West Virginia and Northwestern News Network.  

Andrew Slater has joined WMEN-AM sports radio in Palm Beach, Florida, as PM drive time on-air personality. He started Oct. 15 and took the 3 pm-5 pm time slot. Slater was most recently with iHeartMedia sports radio WINZ-A/MIAMI for six years.

Inman News has brought on Jim Dalrymple II as real estate reporter. He was previously a reporter for BuzzFeed for four years, and before that reported for the Salt Lake Tribune and the Daily Herald in Utah. Inman News is a real estate news service and syndicate based in the San Francisco Bay area.
