Hannah Karp has been promoted to editorial director for Billboard, covering music industry news, television and radio. She was previously the news director for the outlet, and joined the staff in 2017. Before that, Karp spent more than a decade at The Wall Street Journal as a staff reporter.
"The Talk" on CBS has named Carrie Ann Inaba co-host of the show, replacing Julie Chen who left the program in September. Inaba starts in January. She has served as a judge on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" since the show's inception in 2005. She has also guest-hosted "The View," "Live With Kelly" and "Access Hollywood Live."
Anna Johnson will relocate to the Associated Press London bureau at the end of the year as AP's Europe/Africa news director. She is currently the west region news director for the AP in Phoenix, overseeing 13 states in the U.S. Johnson has spent her entire journalism career at the AP, and joined the staff in 2003 as a reporter.
The Information has hired Zoë Bernard as a venture capital reporter. She comes from Business Insider, where she served as a tech reporter since March 2018. She was previously an intern for the outlet, and has also served as a blogger for SiliconANGLE Media, and fact checker for Via magazine before that.
Katie Schoolov has joined CNBC's video team in San Francisco as a producer. She previously spent seven years at KPBS in San Diego as a video journalist, where she edited feature stories and spot news for the KPBS Evening Edition. Before that, she worked in the same capacity for the Las Vegas Sun daily newspaper.
Jodi Enda has been named editor in chief of ThinkProgress. She is an award-winning reporter and editor and is the first female editor of the progressive news site. Edna comes from CNN Politics, where she served as assistant managing editor of special projects since 2015. She has also covered the White House, Congress and campaigns for the Philadelphia Inquirer before that.
Transport Topics has tapped Jim Stinson as a reporter on the business desk. He will cover the business of trucking, logistics and freight. Stinson is a former White House reporter for Laura Ingraham’s LifeZette, where he covered the 2016 election and the Trump administration. Previously, he was a business reporter for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, and an editorial writer for The Daytona Beach News-Journal.
Chicago's WKQX-FM radio has launched a new show: "WKQX Morning Crew" made its debut on Dec. 9 and takes the 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. timeslot. With the launch comes the appointment of the following staff:
