Ava Koffman has joined ProPublica as a technology reporter, effective Jan. 21. She comes from The Intercept, where she worked as a contributing writer reporting on AI and surveillance technology. Koffman has also written for The New York Times, Harper's Magazine, The Atlantic, The Guardian, The New Republic, VICE and The Nation, among others. 

GQ has named Mobolaji Dawodu fashion director; he also oversees all fashion content for GQ Style. Dawodu joined GQ in 2016 from The Fader magazine, where he was style editor at large for ten years. He is one of the most influential fashion figures and has done art direction and street casting on location in more than 30 countries.

Adam Moss, the beloved editor in chief of New York magazine, has announced he will leave the title at the end of March. Moss has been at the helm of New York for 15 years, and oversaw the transformation of the magazine from a single publication to a multi-title print and digital company. During his tenure, Moss also oversaw the creation and launch of five sister digital pubs -- Vulture, the Cut, Intelligencer, the Strategist, and Grub Street. In addition, since 2004, New York and its digital publications have won 40 National Magazine Awards. Before joining New York, Moss was the editor of The New York Times Magazine.

Replacing Moss as editor in chief of New York magazine will be David Haskell, a 12-year veteran of the publication. He starts April 1. Haskell joined New York in 2007, and is currently the editor of business and strategy. Prior to that, he  served as deputy editor. Before that, Haskell  was an editor at Topic magazine, which he co-founded as a graduate student at Cambridge University and brought to New York in 2004.

Jordyn Grzelewski has joined The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, as a business reporter covering real estate; her first day was Jan 14. She was previously a reporter for The Vindicator, where she covered news in Mahoning Valley. Prior to that, she interned at Al Arabiya News Channel.

Frontline on PBS has hired Abby Johnston as digital editor. She comes from Texas Monthly where she most recently served as senior editor. She has also contributed music and culture pieces to the Huston Chronicle, and has served as the contributing news editor for Bustle. 

Whembley Sewell has been named executive editor of the online LGBTQ platform, Them. She has been with Conde Nast  since 2017 and most recently served as the channel manager for Teen Vogue. Before that worked as the social media manager for Seventeen. 

WISX-FM in Philadelphia has brought on Valerie Knight as the AM drive time on-air personality; she can be heard on air from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Knight was previously with WOGL-FM in Philadelphia  for 15 years, and prior to that spent  four years as a radio host and producer at WWDB-FM.

Paul Robbins will join iHeartMedia's KBEB-FM in Sacramento, California, as a PM drive time on-air personality on Feb. 1. He is a former  KTXL-TV Fox 40 anchor, who spent most of the last decade hosting the morning show at the station. He also spent 20 years on “The Paul and Phil Show” on KGBY, and has reported for PBS’s “America’s Heartland.”

Fox-owned WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C., has welcomed Ike Ejiochi as general assignment reporter; he started Jan. 14. Ejiochi comes from WTIC-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, where he spent the last two years as a reporter. Prior to that, he worked for KODE-TV in Joplin, Missouri, as a weekend anchor and reporter for two years.
