Nicole Fritton has been promoted to executive fashion director for Harper's Bazaar. Her role role will grow to include all booking and the execution of all fashion features, in addition to general oversight of all fashion and accessories content. She has spent the last decade as a fashion director at the magazine, and has been on staff since 2005.Replacing Fritton as fashion director is Miguel Enamorado, who was most recently the fashion director at Interview magazine.
The Washington Post has announced the following moves across several of its properties:
- Griff Witte will relocate to Washington, D.C., as a reporter on the National desk in the summer. He is currently the Berlin bureau chief, and has been at the Post since 2017. Prior to that, he spent four years as the paper's London bureau chief.
- David Byler has joined the paper as data analyst and political columnist for Washington Post Opinions. He comes from The Weekly Standard, where he worked as elections analyst and staff writer. Before that, he was an elections analyst for RealClearPolitics.
- Kathy O'Hearn is the new executive producer of Washington Post Live. She was previously the chief development and communications officer for Vital Voices Global Partnership, and before that served as the executive producer for Tina Brown LM/Reuters.
Eline Gordts has been named deputy West Coast editor at The Guardian (US). She was most recently an enterprise editor and senior world editor at HuffPost, where she spent majority of her journalism career. Prior to that, she had a brief stint at Mo' Magazine as a contributor and editorial assistant.
Roll Call has tapped Jinitzail "Jini" Hernández as a senior video producer. She comes from a four month internship at The Medialine, where she reported on political and security issues in the Middle East and North Africa out of Jerusalem. Before that, she served as a Sightline Media Group fellow reporting on military structure and technology. She also spent two years at WGN-TV in Chicago as assistant director.
"The Jam" on WCIU-TV in Chicago has hired Afua Owusu as the show's executive producer. She previously served as a supervising producer at WGN-TV's "Morning News" show since 2013. She has also worked as as a writer/producer at WLS-TV and CLTV in Chicago. "The Jam" is a news and lifestyle morning show airing weekdays from 6 to 8 a.m.
Terri Avery is the newly hired program director for WALR-FM radio in Atlanta. Prior to that, she served as the station manager for WCSB-FM in Cleveland, Ohio, and before that worked as a radio station manger and instructor at the Carolina School of Broadcasting in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Entercom SportsRadio 610 KILT-AM and CBS Sports Radio 650 KIKK-AM in Houston, Texas, have recruited Armen Williams as program director. He started Jan. 7 and replaced Ryan McCredden. Williams was previously the program director for Bonneville International, and has also worked for CBS Radio and Clear Channel.
