Alexandra Ulmer has moved to Reuters in Mumbai, India as special correspondent. She most recently spent almost five years at the news organization's Venezuela bureau, and has also reported for Reuters in Argentina and Chile. Ulmer has spent her entire journalism career at the news service.
Bloomberg News in Singapore has welcomed Daniel Moss as a reporter covering Asian economies on both the micro and macro level. He has been with the news service for almost two decades, and most recently served as executive editor in charge of economics coverage out of New York.
Elise Labott has exited CNN in Washington, D.C., after 18 years at the network. She most recently covered foreign policy and diplomacy as global affairs correspondent, and joined CNN as a State Department producer. During her tenure, Labott has reported from more than 80 countries.
The Today Show on NBC has named Keir Simmons senior international correspondent. He has been a correspondent for NBC News in London since 2012, and before that worked for ITN as UK editor covering home affairs, intelligence and security for ITV News.
Lorraine Woellert has moved to Politico in Florida as Florida editor, and will guide policy coverage as a new governor takes office and 2020 approaches. She was most recently a reporter on Politico's White House team, and before that worked for Redfin as senior managing editor for research. Woellert has also spent seven years at Bloomberg News as a reporter covering U.S. economic data and policy.
Columbus Monthly has welcomed back Dave Ghose, this time as the magazine's top editor. He spent the last year as the editor at sister publication Columbus CEO. Ghose has also worked as a freelance writer and editor and his writing credits include Agence France-Presse, American Archaeology, The Christian Science Monitor, Cincinnati Magazine, and others. Before that, he spent 13 years at Columbus Monthly.
Austin Karp is the new managing editor at SportsBusinessDaily, and works on the development of vertical newsletters and other editorial efforts. He was most recently the assistant managing editor for the site, and joined the staff in 2006 as a research associate.
Erich Mancow Muller has returned to radio to host mornings on conservative news/talk WLS-AM in Chicago, effective Jan. 3. He replaced the morning team of Big John Howell and Ramblin’ Ray Stevens, and now hosts solo weekdays from 5 to 7 p.m. Muller is a 25 year radio veteran in Chicago, who has been off-air since March 2018 when former classic rock WLUP-FM (The Loop) was sold.
WUSA-TV, the CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C., has hired Mike Wise as sports columnist, feature writer and sports TV expert. He is a former ESPN personality and was part of ESPN's "Undefeated," a digital show covering sports, race and culture. Before that he was a columnist at The Washington Post sports page for ten years, and before that spent a decade at The New York Times as an NBA columnist and feature writer.
