Samantha Sutton has joined InStyle.com as fashion editor. She was previously an entertainment writer for CafeMom and a freelancer whose work has appeared in PopSugar, Cosmopolitan and Brit + Co, among others. She has also served as an editor at Coveteur.
Elle’s digital director Leah Chernikoff has announced her departure from the magazine. She will join Glossier as first head of content in April, and will oversee all Glossier content, including the Into the Gloss blog. Chernikoff has been the digital director at Elle since 2013 and came to the magazine from Fashionista, where she was the editorial director. Replacing her at Elle as digital director is Katie Connor, who most recently served as deputy editor for the magazine and has been on staff since 2017.
Bloomberg News has made a number of staff changes at its Washington bureau:
· Anna Edgerton has been promoted to deputy editor for the Congress team. She was previously a Congressional reporter for the newswires and has been on staff since 2013 when she joined from The Miami Herald.
· Justin Blum has moved to the White House desk as senior editor. He has previously served as senior editor for government news and editor for DOJ and homeland security coverage. Blum joined the staff in 2006 as a reporter.
· Caitlin Webber now covers breaking news as an editor. She was most recently a government analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence and has been on staff since 2010.
· Mike Dorning has taken over the agriculture beat as editor. He was previously the White House deputy editor for Bloomberg News for three years and has been in staff since 2009. Prior to that, he served as a White House correspondent covering the Obama administration for the Chicago Tribune.
Cory Smith has joined WRC-TV, the NBC station in Washington, D.C., as a general assignment reporter. He spent the last four years as a weekend anchor/reporter for KXAS-TV in Fort Worth, Texas, and before that worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KSAT-TV in San Antonio, Texas.
San Francisco’s KRON-TV has hired Noelle Bellow as a reporter. She comes from KBTX-TV in Bryan, Texas, where she was a morning anchor. She has also worked for Shiver Communications as a host/narrator, KALB-TV in Louisiana as an anchor/reporter, and MTV as a freelance producer.
Rick Ungar is now the host of a daily syndicated talk show on Chicago’s WCPT-AM radio. He can be heard on-air from 5 to 7 p.m. Ungar is the former co-host of “Steele & Ungar” on the SiriusXM POTUS channel and is also the editor in chief of The Daily Centrist, as well as a political analyst for Fox News.
