D.J. Costantino has joined Saveur magazine as associate digital editor. He most recently served as editorial assistant at StarChefs, where he spent almost three years researching, writing and editing both print and digital features for StarChefs.com and StarChefs Rising Stars magazine. Before that, he worked for The Hunts Point Express as a reporter.
Departures magazine has welcomed Alessandra Codinha as style director. She succeeds Jason Sheeler, who spent three years in the role and will continue to contribute to the magazine on a freelance basis. Codinha comes from Vogue, where she spent five years -- first as fashion news editor, and most recently as online culture editor. She also has earlier stints at Harper’s Bazaar and WWD.
Megan McCarthy has been named executive editor for Grown at Reviewed.com. She is a longtime business journalist and previously served as the executive editor of MIT Technology Review. Prior to that, she was head of editorial strategy at Alley Interactive, and has also served as the deputy manage editor for Fortune.com and deputy technology editor at Reuters.
Columbus Business First has hired Eleanor Kennedy as assistant managing editor. She was previously an entertainment reporter at the Nashville Business Journal, where she covered restaurants, retail, hospitality, tourism and sports business since March 2017. She joined the outlet in 2014 as a health and tech reporter, and before that spent a little over a year at The News & Advance in Virginia as a business reporter.
Cumulus Media radio host Larry O'Connor has added columnist and podcast host to his resume by joining the Washington Examiner. He will continue his duties as midday talent for KABC-AM in Los Angeles and afternoon host for WMAL-AM in Washington, D.C. O’Connor has previously served as associate editor for the Washington Times, online editor for The Weekly Standard, and a contributor to Mediaite.
CoStar has hired Emily Wilkinson as regional editor based in Houston. She started Feb. 25 and oversees the Texas and Midwest markets for the real estate news outlet. Wilkinson was previously the managing editor for the Houston Business Journal since late 2015 and joined the outlet in 2011 as assistant managing editor.
Danica Lo has exited Food & Wine after two years as the digital director, where she oversaw all aspects of digital editorial. She joined the magazine in 2017 from WWD, where she served as digital director as well. Prior to that, she spent four years at Glamour as senior online fashion and beauty editor and digital director at large.
Conservative talk radio WABC-AM in New York has named Juliet Huddy as its new midday co-host to Curtis Sliwa. She replaces Rita Cosby, who left the station in December 2018 after just ten months. Huddy was most recently a co-host on the “Bernie & Sid Morning Show,” and is best known for her 18 years at Fox News Channel, where she hosted “Fox & Friends,” “DaySide,” and “Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.” With her appointment, WABC has announced the debut of its newest afternoon talk radio show, “Curtis and Juliet,” a three-hour weekday program which airs Monday through Friday from noon till 3 p.m.
Alisa Ali is now the midday host at WFUV-FM radio in New York, replacing Carmel Holt who left the station. Ali can now be heard on-air from weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. She was previously the host of the evening program and has been with WFUV since 2004.
