Anna Hecht has been promoted to commerce editor at CNN’s New York City bureau. She most recently served as a commerce writer at the network and wrote content on lifestyle, tech health and travel.  She is also a founding member of CNN Underscored, CNN's first-ever commerce site. Hecht joined the staff in 2017 from InStyle magazine where she spent two years as e-commerce editor and project manager.

The Los Angeles Times has named Craig Marks music editor, responsible for coverage of popular music. He will join the paper on April 8. Marks has previously been executive editor at Billboard; editor in chief at Spin and Blender magazines; and co-founder and editor in chief of Popdust. Most recently, he was editorial director for Townsquare Media, a radio company that owns and operates several music websites. Todd Martens, LA Times music editor since 2016, will become a critic covering games and immersive entertainment.

Kif Leswing has joined CNBC.com as a reporter covering Apple and the broader hardware industry. He comes from Business Insider where he spent the last three years reporting on the tech industry. Before that, he wrote about consumer tech and emerging trends in artificial intelligence and robotics as a freelancer.

The Puget Sound Business Journal in Seattle has tapped Rob Johnson as managing editor. He was most recently the assistant city editor for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and before that served as the news director for Colorado Springs Gazette, and assistant news director for the Santa Barbara News-Press before that.

Leanna Commins is the new associate editor at Fashionista. She previously spent almost three years as a freelance writer for the FADER, and before that interned at Cosmopolitan.com and eventually began writing about the intersection of fashion, music and race at Billboard.

More than ten years after its closure, Court TV will make its return to the airwaves in May. The 24-hour program will feature in-depth legal reporting and expert analysis of the most important and compelling trials in the U.S. Katz Networks will distribut the channel and it has secured agreements with Tribune, Scripps and Univision group owners. Seema Iyer has been named anchor at the new Court TV. She is currently an investigative reporter at WSYX-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and a practicing attorney specializing in criminal and constitutional law.

Jordan Soto and Michael Mason have joined KUAD-FM country radio in Colorado as co-hosts of “Mornings with Jordan and Michael” from 5 to 10 a.m. Soto comes from Townsquare Media in Fort Collins, Colorado, and before that spent three years at Pensacola, Florida radio. Mason was previously a producer at Big Shoes Production, and a news video producer at TheBlaze.  Soto and Mason succeed the long-running “Good Morning Guys” show with Todd Harding, who left the station in January, and Brian Gary who retired.

Veteran journalist Nerissa Knight has switched from an anchor to reporter at CW’s KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. Prior to joining KTLA, she was an anchor/reporter for KNBC in Los Angeles and co-hosted its “Today in L.A.” weekend show for four years. She also spent time as co-host at KTLA’s sister station KDAF in Dallas hosting the Tribune Media syndicated pop culture morning show “Eye Opener TV.”
