E&E News has promoted Hannah Northey to energy editor and leads a team of reporters and edits for Energywire and Greenwire, sub-publications of E&E News. Northey has been on staff since 2011 and joined as an energy and congressional reporter. She later took a role as an enterprise reporter, and most recently served as the deputy energy editor. Prior to joining E&E News, Northey was a political reporter for Argus Media.
· Julie Bone has moved into the role of multiplatform editor. She joined The Post in 2010 after spending five years as a copy editor at the Washington Times. During her time at The Post, Bone has worked on a broad range of verticals including Local Living, Travel, Style and Weekend.
· Taylor Turner has moved into the role of video editor for By The Way. She has been on staff since 2017 and most recently served as a video producer and editor for The Post online. Prior to that, she was a production associate at ABC News.
· Rachel Orr is now the design editor for By The Way. She was most recently the senior art director of The Lily, The Post’s all female-run product for millennial women. Before that, Orr served as the digital designer and art director for Emerging News Products and has been with The Post since 2013.
David Begnaud has been named anchor of CBS News Radio’s “Reporter’s Notebook,” the first anchor assigned to the feature since 2011. He is also the lead national correspondent for “CBS This Morning” a position he has held since early May 2019. Begnaud has been with CBS News since 2014 and prior to that worked for Ora TV n Los Angeles.
Peter St. Onge has been named North Carolina opinion editor, leading the editorial boards and opinion coverage of the Charlotte Observer, Raleigh News & Observer and Durham Herald Sun. St. Onge was previously associate editor for the Charlotte Observer editorial board and has been on staff since 1999
TVSpy has hired Kevin Eck as editor. He is the former editor of the outlet and helmed the staff back in 2012. Most recently, Eck served as the senior video producer for Veritas Technologies and has also worked for AdWeek as a TV producer and Juniper Networks as producer.
Longtime Chicago newsman Derrick Blakley has retired from broadcasting after spending 41 years in TV news, working for a network and two Chicago stations. Most recently, Blakley has been the anchor at CBS-owned WBBM-TV and joined the station in 2003 after a 16-year run as a news anchor and reporter at NBC’s WMAQ-TV. Before that, he spent seven years as a correspondent for CBS News, based in Chicago, London and Bonn, Germany.
B2B media company Advantage Business Marketing, formerly known as Advantage Business Media, has shut down letting go of all employees. The company was the publisher of titles like R&D Magazine, Laboratory Equipment and ECN, among several others.
