These locally-organized conferences cover all things WordPress. Depending on the community, WordCamp topics may differ, but the events generally help attendees learn how to get the most out of WordPress, teach them how to use plugins and themes, etc. They are great for blogging newbies, WordPress pros, and anyone in between. In August, you can attend WordCamps in Birmingham, Ala. (Aug. 10-11), Minneapolis (Aug. 22-24), and Orlando (Aug. 23-25), with more in September.
This regional event is open to bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, and “social media rockstars” from any industry, including lifestyle, food, travel, and health. The Summit, now in its ninth year, is an opportunity to “gather, grow and connect talented content creators to provide education, skill development, resources, camaraderie and brand partnerships.” This year, the Summit will be hosted in Bentonville, Ark.
Affiliate Summit East 2019 will welcome thousands of attendees comprised of online publishers, influencers, media owners, and more to build face-to-face relationships and show off their affiliate marketing solutions. Exhibitors will offer tools for lead generation and brand awareness -- all to help you reach your target audience. ASE19 will be held at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Anyone interested in or involved with the podcasting industry should check out Podcast Movement. The event will bring together podcasters, industry representatives, and podcasting professionals from around the world to grow the community and industry. The 150+ sessions are broken down into seven tracks: Creation; Technical; Industry; Marketing; Monetization; Society, Culture & Advocacy; and Audio Drama/Fiction. Podcast Movement will take place at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla.
This conference brings together bloggers, parents, and advocates with a focus on food allergies and/or Celiac disease. Here, you can connect with medical experts and allergen-friendly companies to learn about the latest research and advocacy as well as build relationships. The three-day event will be held at Southern Maine Community College in Portland, Maine.
Now in its 19th year, the Travel Media Showcase welcomes travel media and marketers looking to foster partnerships to drive earned media coverage. The event includes journalist/exhibitor appointment sessions, regional press tours, plenty of networking opportunities. Travel media interested in attending can fill out a questionnaire on the website. TMS will be at Marriott Century Center in Atlanta, Ga.
This is a single-day, social media micro-conference presented by FLOCK. The speakers will discuss how they found blogging success, how they adapt to social trends, and how they create compelling stories that keep their readers engaged. The event will be hosted at The Peabody Memphis in Memphis, Tenn.
Content Marketing World is a four-day event with 120+ sessions and workshops covering strategy, storytelling, ROI, demand generation, AI, and more. More than 4,000 attendees are expected to attend, and speakers include writer and actor Mindy Kaling, NewsCred co-founder and CEO Shafqat Islam, and Skyword Chief Strategy Officer Allen Gannett. CMWorld 2019 will be held in Cleveland at the Huntington Convention Center.
INBOUND brings together people in the marketing, sales, and business worlds to provide inspiration, education, and all-around fun for four days. In addition to more than 300 breakout sessions, attendees can take part in stand-up comedy shows, happy hours, and food truck lunches. The conference boasts more than 24,000 attendees, will host big name speakers like Katie Couric and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, and will take place in Boston.
The mission at FinCon ([Fin]ancial [Con]tent) is “to help financial influencers and brands create better content, reach their audience, and make more money.” The 2,000 attendees are made up of content creators, influencers, and brands in the personal finance and investing spaces. Learn how to create, promote, and make money from finance-related content at this event in Washington, D.C.
TBEX connects travel bloggers and journalists with influential brands and industry professionals. Workshops will address several travel-related topics, including drone photography, Instagram best practices, and SEO. #TBEX will be held at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center in Montana.
This Pinterest-based event offers classes and shopping for content creators in a wide variety of industries: DIY, crafts, cooking, self-improvement, photography, party planning, scrapbooking, holiday, beauty, and fashion. Many of the classes offer how-to presentations for DIY projects like bath bombs, hand lettering, furniture painting, and more. The Dallas event will take place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
This intensive workshop will teach aspiring travel writers techniques for getting published and how to generate an income no matter where they live. Networking opportunities are available and attendees will be able to leave the three-day event with an original article in hand. General tickets have sold out, but options for livestreaming the event are still available.
Now in its ninth year, Bloggy Conference “exists to offer you a new and continuously developing approach to growth, networking and education in our ever-changing social media world.” Bloggers of all experience levels are encouraged to attend to learn more about social media and how to build an online presence. “Bloggy Con” will be at Hotel Breakers in Sandusky, Ohio.
Presented by SIMPLY and Fashion Island, this event offers attendees a day full of fashion and beauty panels and shopping parties. Few details have been made available for this year’s event, but the 2018 StyleWeekOC included a VIP dinner, fashion shows, and discussions of the latest fashion trends, beauty secrets, and expert advice.
The Skift Global Forum, known as the “TED Talks of Travel,” offers marketers, strategists, and technologists two days of travel inspiration. The New York event is Skift’s largest and will host speakers from some of the biggest names in travel, including Hilton, Expedia, and Marriott. The single-stage event will cover topics like sustainable travel and the growing importance of experiences in travel. It will take place at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.
This event gives ambitious women 1.5 days of beauty, wellness, education, and inspiration to improve their content and grow their businesses. According to the site, “Whether you are looking to level-up your business, turn you side-hustle into a profitable endeavor, or use your influence to make impactful change, we have you covered.” Check out the Creators Summit at the Brooklyn Expo Center in New York.
At the Tastemaker Conference, food bloggers, foodies, and vendors come together for two days of networking, learning and, of course, eating! Unfortunately, general admission tickets are sold out, but anyone interested in attending can join the waitlist through the website. The event will be at Leftbank Annex in Portland, Ore.
Another one-day conference presented by FLOCK, this event focuses on mastering Instagram to boost engagement and develop a larger, more devoted audience. Experts will discuss how they decide what to post, where their ideas come from, etc. The day of learning takes place at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. – very Instagram-worthy, indeed.
This single-day event is all about the side-hustle life and female entrepreneurship. Registered guests can attend a networking happy hour the night before the conference. The day of the conference is split into two tracks focused on: (1) entrepreneurship and growing your brand, and (2) social media, marketing, and content creation. C&C will be held at SVN West in San Francisco.

This event is all about the business of blogging. Now in its 13th year, the Type-A Bloggers Conference offers workshops, panels, and more to bloggers and social media influencers. More than 500 are expected to attend – mostly made up of female entrepreneurs and lifestyle bloggers that write about a variety of topics. You can attend Type-A at the Westin Alexandria in Alexandria, Va.
Top travel writers and editors will attend Travel Classics West for four days of presentations, one-on-one meetings, a writing contest, networking, and more. Although the conference is currently sold out, a waitlist is available through the site. The event will take place at the Four Seasons Resort in Whistler, British Columbia.
Moms and mom bloggers will gather in Texas for this two-day event. Whether you’re looking for a way to connect with other mom bloggers or get a look at the latest natural and organic products, this is the conference for you. Moms Meet puts on the conference, which includes one day for influencers and bloggers, and a second day open to all moms. WOW Summit will be in Arlington, Texas.
