Rachel Schallom has joined Fortune as deputy digital editor, based in New York. She was most recently the managing editor at VICE and helped lead a 70-person newsroom. Prior to joining VICE in 2018, she was newsroom project manager at The Wall Street Journal, and worked at Fusion, the Sun Sentinel, the Los Angeles Times, and the Huntsville Times.

The New York Times digital video team had added two new members:

·         Solana Pyne is the new director of enterprise video and leads the teams of producers and journalists on coverage across news and enterprise with a focus on original reporting. She comes from Quartz, where she spent the last four years as executive producer and senior producer. Before joining Quartz, Pyne oversaw video for the international news site GlobalPost.

·         Caroline Kim has joined the staff full-time as senior video editor. She has been with The Times Video team since April and came on board as a temp after spending time editing films, including feature documentaries and programs for PBS, HBO and VICE.

Nish Amarnath has been recruited by Reorg Research as a reporter to cover bankruptcies, distressed debt and credit markets with a specific focus on the Energy sector - renewables, midstream/upstream oil and gas. She was most recently a freelance contributor for Dow Jones and before that spent two years as a senior reporter for S&P Global Market Intelligence.

The Napa Valley Register has brought on Sarah Klearman as a reporter covering the wine industry. She was most recently a features intern at The Cap Cod Times and before that interned at Santa Clara Magazine, the Santa Clara University’s alumni magazine.

Michelle Fay is the new afternoon host at WMIA-FM in Miami succeeding program director Joey Brooks. She also co-hosts mornings at WLDI-FM in West Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to joining iHeartMedia in 2014, Fay was a host and producer for Spanish Broadcasting System and Siriux XM/National Latino Broadcasting.

CBS-owned WGCL-TV in Atlanta has welcomed Rick Folbaum as an anchor. He broadcasts on the 4, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts and CBS46 News at 9 p.m. on Peachtree TV with Shon Gables. Folbaum comes from CNN, where he has been an anchor for CNN International. Prior to that, he spent five years as an anchor at WFOR in Miami. He was previously also a long-time anchor and correspondent for Fox News.

Steven Graves has joined WBBM-TV, the CBS station in Chicago, as a reporter. He was previously a fill-in anchor and reporter for WVEC-TV in Hampton, Virginia, for three years and before that produced and anchored the weekend show at KVII-TV in Amarillo, Texas.
