The Associated Press has named Elizabeth Kennedy deputy international editor in addition to her current duties as deputy Washington bureau chief. She helps direct and coordinate reporting from different parts of the globe, including Washington, to break more news. She will continue to oversee the foreign affairs and national security team. Kennedy has been with the AP since 1999 when she joined as the New York editor. She later worked in the Trenton, New Jersey bureau and moved to Nairobi in 2006.

Jane Wester has joined the New York Law Journal as a reporter covering Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island courts. She comes from the Charlotte Observer where she covered crime, police-community relations and public safety issues in Charlotte, North Carolina. Wester has previously interned at the Austin American-Statesman and has also served as the editor in chief of The Daily Tar Heel, the independent student newspaper of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Wall Street Journal has hired Sarah Toy as energy reporter. She was previously a reporter at MarketWatch and covered health and media. Toy is a recent graduate of Boston University and has interned at The Journal and USA Today.

Veteran editor Garry Lenton is the newly minted managing editor of Lehigh Valley Business Journal and The Central Penn Business Journal. He spent the last seven years leading the newsroom of the Reading Eagle in Reading, Pennsylvania, and before that had a 27-year run at The Patriot News/PennLive.

The Houston Business Journal’s reporter Jeff Jeffrey now covers all aspects of residential real estate, including multifamily and professional services. He will continue reporting on commercial real estate, construction and engineering. Jeffrey joined the outlet in May and has previously reported for North Carolina Lawyers Weekly, Triangle Business Journal, and A.M. Best Company among others.

Bonnier Motorcycle Group has launched Cycle Volta, a new e-bike and electric two-wheel mobility website. Toby Hill, former managing editor of BRAIN, has been named editor in chief of the site. Hill has previously worked as a writer and editor at The Orange County Register, The Hollywood Reporter and Back Stage magazine.

Emmanuel Coquia has been promoted to director of programming and content for KPWR-FM and KDAY-FM radio in the Los Angeles. Additionally, he'll oversee the initial stages of the new Latin Rhythmic format on KLLI-FM. He was most recently the interim program director at the stations and personally recruited Nick Cannon to create the new Power 106 morning show.

KIII-TV, the ABC station at Corpus Christi, Texas, has recruited Leslie Adam as co-anchor of 3 News at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. She was most recently a news reporter at KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas and has also worked as a morning news anchor and reporter at KLBK-TV in Lubbock, Texas.

Michael Brooks has joined NBC’s KJRH-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma as an anchor on the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. news alongside Karen Larsen. Brooks comes from KOKH-TV in Tulsa where he spent seven years most recently as the evening news anchor. He has also worked for WFTX-TV in Florida and WGCL-TV in Atlanta, among others.
