Adam Hargis has been promoted to publisher for T: The New York Times Style Magazine. He was previously the associate publisher for the outlet, a position he has held since December 2018. Hargis has previously held positions at CNBC, NBC and Vs. magazine.
The Washington Post has recruited two politics editors:
· Zach Purser-Brown has joined the video department as a politics editor, and covers the 2020 campaign, Capitol Hill and how Washington policy shapes our daily lives. He was most recently at Sky News in London, where he served as a senior political producer covering UK politics and Brexit.
· Mahlia Posey has joined the video department as a politics editor, and also covers the 2020 campaign, Capitol Hill and how Washington policy shapes our daily lives. She was previously a digital video producer at PBS NewsHour, where she served as a digital video producer.
“Vice News Tight,” the daily hallmark television show of Vice News which was cancelled by HBO in June, is slated to relaunch on VICELAND and Vice on Showtime. The program will serve as a new nightly primetime anchor for the channel. It succeeds Vice Live, the variety series which was canceled in April after only a two-month run.
Fortune magazine has added two editors on its digital side:
· Karen Yuan has joined the staff as newsletter editor. She is responsible for overseeing the collection of daily and weekly feeds. She was previously an assistant editor at the Atlantic, where she co-launched and edited its premium newsletter.
· Emily Savage is the new social media editor. She previously was an associate editor of audience development at the Pacific Standard and has also worked as a music editor, staff writer, and social media strategist for the San Francisco Bay Guardian and J. the Jewish News Weekly of Northern California.
Damany Lewis has joined the ABC/Telemundo WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, as an anchor. He previously spent five years at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he anchored the noon newscast. Prior to that, Lewis anchored and reported for KXTV-TV in Sacramento, California.
