Ryan Neal has joined Financial Planning as technology editor. He comes from InvestmentNews, where he spent the past two years as a technology reporter and columnist. Prior to that, he served as a fintech reporter at Wealth Management.

Cale Weissman has been promoted to editor for Modern Retail. He was most recently a senior reporter for the outlet as well as Digiday and has been on staff with Digiday Media since 2019. Weissman has also previously worked as an associate news editor at Fast Company and a reporter for Business Insider.

E&E News energy and environment reporter Corbin Hiar has moved to the company’s Climatewire publication where he now covers how businesses are and are not responding to climate change. Hiar has been with E&E News since 2014 and before that served as power reporter at SNL Financial.

Maggie Fox has joined CNN as senior health editor. She is an experienced reporter, writer and editor, with years covering medicine and science, climate, politics, conflict and life in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas. In the past year she has been writing a book about the healthcare crisis in the U.S. and the links with alternative medicine. She has also contributed to News-Decoder,  a global educational news service for young people. Before that, Fox has worked at NBC News, National Journal, and Reuters.

KLNC-FM radio in Lincoln, Nebraska, now broadcasts classic rock, a change form its previous classic hits lineup. With that, come a couple of staff changes: Operations manager/program director Steve King will host afternoons, with KBBK PD/afternoon host Jill Marshall adding midday duties on KLNC as well.

Jonathan Deutsch has been promoted to sports director at WEYI-WBSF-WSMH in the Flint-Saginaw-Bay City market in Michigan. He was most recently the sports anchor/reporter for the cluster and has been on staff since mid-2018. Prior to that, Deutsch was a sports anchor at WIBW-TV in Topeka, Kansas.
